So I have enough money to buy a camera lens ( a 70-200mm f4 IS ) but I also am going ona trip for my birthday and don't know whether to keep the money for the trip or buy the lens >.<
REALLY want to get back to Deviantart
It's really been years since I have been on here, posting regularly and chatting to people. I want to start taking more pictures but it is hard! I have no time to go anywhere to do anything and hardly anything to take pictures of.
I have saved up a fair bit of money and will hopefully this year, or early next buy a new camera lens. My first choice was to buy a 70-200mm f/4 but have now decided to get a 25-105mm f/4L IS USM. It's similar price, has IS and is a better zoom range for the pictures I take. Upgrading my lens will also hopefully give me better quality pics.
One day I will have a better camera body and lights and what not for ta
Stuff
I'm sorry for people that may actually follow my photography and would like to see more. I haven't really had much motivation for photography lately nor for DeviantArt. I'll try and post what photos I take and edit but I don't think I'll use this site as often as I had done in the past.
But I will just write about what I've been doing this year and what not for those who care and or are interested.
Well I didn't complete my last year of school which is a bit of a shame but I went on a lot of great trips via school in the year. I went bush-walking on an island that isn't too far from my town, I also did a buhswalk (one without teachers) in a

CANON EF 70-200 F4 L IS ZOOM LENS here in Canada is $1300. If you are going out of the country, it would be nice to have otoh it's nice to have cash reserves in case you wanna do some extra sight seeing, hang gliding, skiing etc. You only get one chance at being 18. Use it wisely but use it.
Last year you talked of a possible trip to Canada. Since your passion is skiing, British Columbia is a natural choice. Whistler/Blackcomb is highly rated. Lots of people get temporary jobs in the ski industry. britishcolumbia.com/ski-magazi… I know it's expensive to get here from there. It's expensive for us Ontarians to fly 3 time zones to the west consequently I haven't done it. A prior ski crash (and a motorcycle crash) prevent me from enjoying skiing anymore
The biggest photography retailer in Canada is Henry's.
If you got a job serving in a resort you could ski by day and make some money by night. Just remember to get a job and work permit well before you leave Oz. Take care Aiden. Lemme know what you are up to (and I don't mean 175cm lol)
